An evening in Shibuya dedicated to poet, photographer, filmmaker, publisher, and world-travelling visionary Ira Cohen.
Kenji Yuda reads new Japanese translations of Cohen’s poetry and presents ‘Anthology’ books containing Ira’s poetry, originally edited by Cohen (2,000 Yen).
Literary discussions and poetry readings, featuring an exceptional constellation of voices:
Penny Arcade - legendary downtown New York performer and “Warhol superstar”
Louise Landes Levi - poet, longtime friend and collaborator of Ira Cohen since the 1970s
Robert Yarra - publisher of ‘A Certain Kind of Wizard’.
Danny Rosen (Lithic Press) - co-publisher of ‘A Certain Kind of Wizard’.
Taylor Mignon - long-time resident of Japan, poet/translator, editor of ‘Visual Poetry of Japan’: 1684-2023
Matz McLaughlin - Beat literature scholar

豪華出演者は
アンディ・ウォーホルのスーパースターの一人で詩人、上演しながら作品を練り上げるパフォーマーのペニー・アーケード
70年代よりコーエンと交友のあった詩人で翻訳者で音楽家のルイーズ・ランデス・リーヴァイ
やはりニューヨーク出身でコーエンの作品を集大成した『A Certain Kind of Wizard』を出版したゴルダ財団の主催者ロバート・ヤラ
この本を共同出版したLythic Press主宰者のダニー・ローゼン
長年日本在住の詩人で翻訳者でもあるテイラー・ミニオン
